void of emotion.
This is something i’ve sort of been aware of, but still surprised when i saw the larger picture. I was sorting out my drawings and i noticed a pattern. most of the people in my drawings had this blank expression as if there was nothing coming across. just… numb from the inside. Sure there’s the occasional hint of a smile or a frown or a grin but in general it’s all pretty cold. It’s like they’re just there existing, nothing more nothing less. Here’s 80 faces from my drawings, and of course myself with the same cold, numb stare.
On a related note, i was watching an episode of work of art a few months ago and one of the judges/mentors said “Art is letting the outer world see what your inner world looks like.”, or something to that effect.
Don’t mind me, just something i observed.
